Description
In May 1756, as war erupts between the British and the French, Isabella Sevens and her father make their way toward Fort William Henry. Meanwhile, Wusamequin, a young Mohican medicine man, seeks vengeance for the deaths of his family, killed by British soldiers. When he and his warriors capture Isabella and her father, Wusamequin is impressed by her courage. He orders their lives spared, though many in his tribe still call for blood. Isabella offers to stay as his hostage if he releases her father, in a desperate deal. This colonial romance, inspired by “Last of the Mohicans,” reimagines “Beauty and the Beast.”
